We tasted a huge array of white Burgundies in September/October and this one stood out - which is why it is here! Big ripe nose and oak driven, but unlike some oaked wines the oak enhances the wine rather than overtakes it. It is from Domaine Simon Bize in Savigny, just north west of Beaune near the border with the Cote de Nuits and offering real quality at a lesser price than it's neighbours in Meursault & Puligny Montrachet.
More: Domaine Bize dates from 1880 and is farmed organically. The emphasis is in the vineyard where they make the most of low yields from generally old vines while always using traditional methods. They are typically pure wines with great freshness ans a silky texture.
Sorry! Only 3 Btls of this vintage left so a 3 Btl case is only option available.
