Best known in Ireland for it's Irish owners Lochlann & Brenda Quinn, their huge investment in the vineyards and cellars has helped improve an already lovely wine.
With Stephen Carrier as Wine maker and Hubert de Bouard as consultant, the 2014 vintage (65% Cab Sauvignon, 25 % Merlot, 10% Cab. Franc) offers cherry, raspberry and lightly spiced forest fruits, accompanied by a subtle undertone of vanilla.
In the mouth, a delicate and silky attack with a persistence characteristic of this 2014 vintage, then a long finish which already indicates that this blend will develop well over time.

The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and well-judged acidity. Here perhaps more representative of the wine, building in the mouth towards a lovely cedar-tinged finish, leaving you on a high note..... If the aromatics develop with bottle age, then it will merit a higher score.

Ripe, fleshy and fun, with lots of friendly blackberry, boysenberry and raspberry preserve notes gliding through, structured by refined tannins and backed by light tar, anise and black tea details.

The 2014 de Fieuzal has a detailed bouquet with mineral-driven black fruit, graphite and cold stone aromas that achieve an impressive degree of focus. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannin, quite saline in the mouth with a lightly spiced and attenuated finish.
