Made from 100% Maturana Blanca* from a single vineyard at a minimum of 680 metres upwards (remember, altitude is good for white wines!!) the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and riddled regularly to achieve a wonderful rich mouthfeel, real freshness and low sulfites! It's practically good for you!
From the enticing straw yellow colour, to it's intense nose (Apples, pears, even quince) and touch of minerality, it has a long crisp grip on the palate with classy tension, it finishes long with stone fruits, and aromatic herbs going on... and on ...
Nivarius Finca La Nevera 2018 is astounding value, receiving 95 points from Penin Guide amongst other great scores.
At this price we only get a decent Chablis or inferior Pouilly Fuissé from elsewhere!

*Maturana Blanca is one of the earliest varietals mentioned in the annals of Rioja, but was outgrown by Viura and Verdejo. Now back in favour with specialist producers (like Palacios) it offers so much that the others sometimes lack. Many times over the years we have tasted wines (especially Spanish whites) that appear nice but offer little on the palate or the finish, as they lack acidity. La Nevera offers flavours, richness and perfectly balanced acidity to really sparkle!
