From Bucelas (near Lisboa), Prova Regia benefits from strong Atlantic influences to offer a clean, crisp alternative to New World Sauvignon Blanc.
Made with 100% Arinto (similarities to better French Sauvignon like Sancerre and Pouilly Fume), it offers a delightful bouquet of citrus fruits, predominantly lemon and grapefruit, which give it a zesty and invigorating aroma. The citrus flavors observed on the nose translate onto the palate, with vibrant lemon and grapefruit notes taking the forefront, with a touch of green apple in the background. There is complexity and depth to the wine. The acidity (which feels lower than Sauv Blanc) is well-balanced and contributes to a refreshing and invigorating experience.
It pairs well with seafood, salads, and lighter poultry dishes, and it can also be enjoyed on its own as a refreshing and vibrant white wine.
Prova Regia Arinto has been unavailable for the last year, but finally we have it back! Great news for it's legion of fans.
