Solo Roberto Sauvignon (Bianco) 2023 shows with a light straw colour, with a touch of green in the background.
Aromas of nettles and lime, even vanilla (although it never got anywhere near oak) carry through to the palate, where there are restrained tropical flavours(more subtle than New Zealand), leaving a fresh elegant and long finish.
Previously voted the 3rd best Sauvignon in Italy no less! This vintage is just released so reviews only arriving but what about this:

'This is so fragrant, so elegant, right from the first breath out the glass. Key lime, bergamot, yuzu. A trace of vanilla flower and vanillin sweetness. There is a curve and weight to the wine that just takes me to the slow, pensive swing of a hammock on an early late-spring morning: sunlight filtering through lime-green leaves, sweet grass, the faint smell of chestnuts in blossom, the taste of earth waking up. There is nothing loud or brashly Sauvignon about this wine. I did a little double-take. Like, 'is this Sauvignon?' It's like hating anchovies and then discovering Cantabrian anchovies. This is seriously classy. Exceptional'
To be blunt, this is so clean and fresh, so rewarding and satisfying on the palate - plenty of flavours but no tropical excess (like some of our Kiwi friends). Made on gravelly (yes, same as Graves in Bordeaux!) soils in the North East of Italy (heading for Slovenia & Austria), these wines are so fresh and enjoyable, without any effort!

*Solo Roberto wines are 'designed' to offer super aromatic and fruity wines which give pleasure in the mouth and on the nose, without compromising the freshness and minerality coming from the regional pedo-climatic environment; the result is clean and elegant wines.
